News on our Taster Sessions and BPF

In advance of our Best Practice Forum and in order to reach out to grassroots communities and environmental advocates, Roots2Justice hosted three online Taster Sessions between November 2022 and March 2023 on the themes of:

a) Free, Prior and Informed Consent;

b) Practical Legal Actions for Corporate Wrongs;

c) Analysis of Evidence in Corporate Abuse Cases.

The Taster Sessions brought grassroots and international legal experts together to explore tested legal approaches and strategies based on their own learnings and experience, highlighting best practice within their local context. As a follow up to the Taster Sessions, over two hundred people initially registered to attend the sessions were invited to provide feedback to the Best Practice Forum programme and to indicate those themes of most interest to them given their specific local contexts, pressures and gaps in knowledge. The feedback has been greatly received and is informing the design and content of the next phase of Roots2Justice Best Practice Forum.

Activists, organisations and lawyers can register their interest here, and learn more about the BPF and its topics. We are especially interested in hearing what topics and themes you are most interested in!
