Felix’s Kilimanjaro Fundraiser

We’re delighted to announce that Felix Manig is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, to raise funds for Roots2Justice.

Felix set off yesterday for Africa’s highest peak, standing at 5895m high, beginning a journey of 9 days trekking in total, which will cover around 120 kilometres across five climate zones.

Having seen Kilimanjaro at the age of 10, Felix has wanted to climb the summit since his childhood, which he spent living in Nigeria, South Africa, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Through his climb, Felix hopes to raise awareness of critical environmental challenges in Tanzania and rapidly increasing deforestation, while raising funds for the direct empowerment of people and communities impacted by these challenges in Tanzania and beyond.

All funds raised will support our upcoming Best Practice Forum, an online platform which will offer mentoring support and facilitate legal strategies exchanges and best practices across jurisdictions in order to tackle environmental and climate injustice, corporate abuses and malpractice in Latin America, Africa and Asia.

Felix has a target of raising £1500 through his climb, and has raised over 50% already. You can donate to Felix’s fundraiser through his JustGiving page.
